What the server records

Only after you accept. Every request is then logged on my own server, so I can see which pages get read.

• Your IP address
• The page requested, and when
• The site that referred you
• Browser, operating system and device, from your user agent and client hints
• Your preferred languages
• Your country, where my host reports it

What analytics adds

Google Analytics runs for everyone, but sets no cookies and uses no identifiers until you accept. After that it records some extra device detail too.

• Screen size, viewport, pixel ratio and colour depth
• Time zone
• CPU cores and device memory
• Network type and speed
• Colour scheme and motion preference
• Time on page, scroll depth and clicks
• A random visitor id in a cookie, so repeat visits can be recognised

What I never do

There is no commercial interest behind this site.

• No advertising
• No selling or sharing with data brokers
• No tracking you across other sites
• No browser fingerprinting
• No profiling or automated decisions
